【环球网报道】海地8月14日发生7.2级浅源地震，“今日俄罗斯”（RT）援引海地民防部门18日晚更新的数字称，此次地震已造成至少2189人死亡，12268人受伤，超过300人失踪。


RT称，此次地震还造成超过52000所建筑被完全摧毁，大约77000所建筑受到损害。海地官员称，数以千计的家庭因此而无家可归，虽然已经在努力搭建帐篷和其他临时住所，但政府警告不要在城市地区建立大型营地。


面对海地受到的打击，据报道，海地总理阿里埃尔·亨利在18日晚的视频讲话中称，地震让海地“陷入困境”。他说，“地震摧毁国家南部大部分地区再次证明了我们是多么的脆弱。”亨利还在推特上发誓称要“亲自”确保那些需要帮助的人得到帮助，并坚称他的政府不会“重演援助管理和协调不善的历史”。

据此前报道，海地政府8月16日发出国际援助请求，说该国面临极端人道主义紧急情况，目前迫切需要医疗卫生用品、医护人员、紧急救援、帐篷等临时庇护所、毯子、食品等援助。
