新华社惠灵顿3月6日电（记者郭磊卢怀谦）据新西兰地质与核科学研究所消息，当地时间6日13时16分，新西兰北岛东北海域发生6.1级地震。该地震是前一天夜间发生7.1级地震以来最强一次余震。

这次强余震发生在新西兰北岛东北约140公里处，震源深度33公里。附近居民均有明显震感。

5日凌晨2时27分至上午8时28分，新西兰北岛海域连续发生三起7级以上强烈地震。地震触发海啸预警。

此后，新西兰地质与核科学研究所就发出警告，未来数十天内该区域出现7级以上强烈余震的概率极高，相对较小的余震将不断发生。（完）

【快讯：新西兰6小时三次7级以上强震 新西兰发布全国海啸警告】新西兰北岛海域发生7.3级地震 据@中国地震台网 正式测定，自北京时间4日晚间21时27分至5日凌晨3时28分的约六小时里，新西兰共发生3次7级以上强烈地震，其中北岛海域在4日晚间发生7.3级地震，马德克群岛在5日凌晨发生7.2级和7.8级地震。美国地质调查局地震信息网对这三起地震测定的震级分别为7.3级、7.4级和8.1级。在第三次地震后新西兰国家应急管理署在官网上发布全国海啸警报，并要求所有在海岸区域居住的人远离岸边和各种水域，并听从各地民防部门的指挥撤离所在区域。（记者 蒋成龙）
